Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is creating destruction at the box office, not just in India but also overseas. The film has turned out to be the greatest comeback vehicle for Shah Rukh Khan, who had taken a sabbatical of four years after a string of flops like Zero and Jab Harry Met Sejal.
Shah Rukh Khan’s next release is Jawan, directed by Atlee. Atlee would have hoped to take the credit for giving a solid comeback to SRK with Jawan. But with Pathaan, Siddharth Anand stole Atlee’s thunder.
Also, after the unprecedented success of Pathaan, the expectations from Jawan have hit the roof. If Jawan had come before Pathaan, then the expectations would have been low from Atlee, and a decent product would have done the job.
But Atlee has to now deliver a much, much superior project than Pathaan to reach the expectations of the audience and trade, which isn’t going to be an easy task.
Pathaan is on course to earn Rs. 1000 crores gross, and Jawan would be expected to cross or at least match the records of Pathaan.
