Pan India Culture Will Eat Tollywood?Post the super success of SS Rajamouli’s visual wonder, the Baahubali series on a pan-India level, our Telugu filmmakers have been planning films on a large scale to cash in on the craze enjoyed by the South films among the North audience.

Films like Saaho and Radhe Shyam are made on similar lines to get a pan-India appeal. But in the making process, the filmmakers are leaving the soul of Telugu cinema which is actually liked by the North audience, and making films in the age-old Bollywood style to impress the audience over there.

Trade analysts say that the proper way to make a way reach a larger audience is to make a film in your own language in order to maintain authenticity. If makers don’t pollute a film and maintain its original flavor, then other language audiences will also embrace its authenticity.

The audience also feels that the Bollywoodization of South cinema will harm its prospects even in the original versions. This ‘cross’ breed making of films that neither look like a real Telugu film nor does it look like a proper Hindi film will only ruin the experience of watching cinema for the audience.
