Celebrated actress Deepika Padukone first made her entry into the world of Tamil films in 2014 with Kochadaiyaan which starred Superstar Rajinikanth. These days rumors have been floating around that the actress is once again teaming up with Rajinikanth on his latest film.
Rajinikanth is currently doing his second film with his ‘Kabali’ director Pa Ranjith and it was assumed that Deepika had been asked to play the female lead despite any official announcement regarding this. However, director Ranjith has set the matter straight on twitter and laid rest to all these rumors. When asked on Twitter regarding Deepika being considered to play the female lead, the director simply replied that it is not true.
While there has been no news regarding the female lead, the as of yet untitled film will begin shooting in the mid of April and currently, the pre-production work for the film is going on at a rapid pace.
