Over-Confidence-Killed-an-Honest-Movie-ManuBefore the theatrical release, the makers of ‘Manu‘ spoke as if the sky is the limit for the movie and claimed that it is going to be a path-breaking movie and the performances of the actors will be top-notch.

But, looking at the premieres and the collection on the first day, the sky-high self-praise of the makers didn’t even invoke the minimum interest on the movie among the audiences who are embracing different movies, of late. ‘Manu’ grossed a meager of $18K from two days and there is no hope or a sign that the film may even pick up as all the space is being occupied by another different movie ‘C/o Kancharapalem’.

This weekend and till the coming Wednesday, Venkatesh Maha’s directorial will continue to enjoy the space leaving ‘Manu’ behind and with ‘U Turn’ and ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’ coming on Wednesday premieres, it will be a complete closure of the business for ‘Manu’. Nevertheless, it’s an honest attempt by the director and only his overconfidence made the movie go in a different direction.
