Thai-Cave-Rescue-netflixWe don’t want to sound clichéd for sure. But when the going gets tough, the tough get going. And this is exactly why Netflix’s series simply called Thai Cave Rescue keeps you enticed till the very end.

A couple of documentaries and films have already been made on the ordeal faced by the Wild Boars soccer team, but the series still wins over the audiences with its candid yet, emotionally binding narrative.

The team of 12 boys and their coach got stuck in a famous cave that they went to explore following a football match. Comprising boys of various age groups, they had to endure 17 days of nightmarish experience trapped inside the flooded Tham Luang cave in northern Thailand.

What’s beautiful about the series is that it tells the back stories of all the main characters involved including their 25-yr-old coach Eak and the Navy SEAL Saman Kunan who lost his life trying to give oxygen cylinders by diving into the cave.

Beautiful cinematography capturing the thick foliage of northern Thailand, impactful story-telling, and a special role played by singer-turned-actor Thaneth Warakulnukroh who plays Chiang Rai Governor simply shine through.

The series starts off on a slow note, but by the end, you cannot but help feel one with each and every character and their ordeal.
