This Sankranthi season was an eventful one for the South Indian audience as the likes of Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya, Varisu, and Thunivu hit theaters.
Coming to the topic, three of these four biggies are now gearing up for the OTT premieres this week.
First is Varisu(Varasudu in Telugu) which is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on the 22nd of this month. The film can be streamed in South Indian languages on Prime.
Then there’s Veera Simha Reddy which is premiering on Disney+ Hotstar on the 23rd of this month. Previously, Akhanda’s Mass action blocks went viral on social media after its OTT debut on Disney+ Hotstar. Now, the OTT giant will be hoping for a similar reach for Veera Simha Reddy which will premiere at 6PM on 23rd February.
Then comes Waltair Veerayya which will premiere on Netflix on the 27th of February. This film made the most of the Sankranthi season to go big at ticket counters. Can it get a similar reception on OTT?
Which of these three biggies will impress the OTT crowd the most? In all honesty, all these films are made for theatrical experience, so we should see how the OTT crowd receive them.
As for the other biggie, Thunivu, it is already streaming on Netflix in South Indian languages.
