Dil Raju is possibly the only mainstream Telugu producer who enforced 8-week OTT window. His recent film, F3 arrived on OTT 8 weeks post its theatrical release.
Cut to now, Raju is said to be in a moral dilemma about the OTT release plan for his latest theatrical release, Thank You.
As per the standard agreement, Than You would stream on Amazon Prime Video 4 weeks post its theatrical release. But given the fact that the film’s theatrical run has almost come to an end already in first weekend itself, Raju is said to be contemplating early OTT release for the film.
As per reports, Thank You could premiere on Amazon just two weeks from its theatrical release. This could help Dil Raju recover a portion of the losses the film’s theatrical release has incurred.
While Raju could hold back on F3’s OTT release for 8 weeks, he is unable to do the same for Thank You. At a time when Tollywood producers are deciding against early OTT release and Dil Raju is at the forefront of it, this decision should be a tough one for him.
