Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s Valimai turned out to be a dud in the Telugu states. It disappeared without a trace in the Telugu states. The makers announced it was a big hit in Tamil Nadu.
Now, Valimai is set for its OTT debut as the film is gearing up for its premieres on ZEE5. The film is on course for its OTT premieres on ZEE5 on the 25th of March.
ZEE5 has been going after mainstream South Indian biggies of late. The OTT giant has already secured deals with the makers of RRR and KGF 2 regarding the post theatrical OTT streaming rights (South Indian languages).
ZEE5’s immediate next South Indian big-ticket outing will be Valimai. The action drama has Ajith and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles. Young Telugu actor Karthikeya plays the antagonist.
Valimai is directed by H Vinoth and it hit the silver screens on the 25th of February. It is up for OTT release around a month post its theatrical release.
