Malayalam cinema never runs dry of producing good films. We often see Malayalam films going great guns on OTT. The content driven narrative and unique writing work wonderfully well for these films.
Now, Malayalam cinema appears to have produced another OTT winner and it is – Mukundan Unni Associates.
The dark crime comedy has Vineeth Srinivasan, the director of recent blockbuster, Hridayam in the central role. The protagonist has negative shades but the narrative is such that the viewers root for his cause.
As is the case with many Malayalam films, Mukundan Unni Associates also relies heavily on good writing and screenplay. It is billed to be better suited for the sensibilities of the OTT audience.
The film is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi dubs along with the original Malayalam version.
The film is directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak and it has Vineeth Srinivasan, Tanvi Ram, and others in the lead roles. It opened to rave reviews following the theatrical release and is now getting a good response on OTT.
