Ram Charan’s Dasara release ‘Bruce Lee’ dragged the mega heir in a tough situation where he has to prove himself as the right heir of the megastar of Tollywood. All his limitations suddenly came into focus as the film flopped despite having a big name, the megastar himself. With Chiru’s cameo to attract audiences and a wide release in maximum theatres, ‘Bruce Lee’ collected only $646K in US.
Varun Tej’s ‘Kanche’ with little expectations and limited release earned $503K in US. He scored very poor through his debut ‘Mukunda’, but surprised trade with ‘Kanche’s collections. Prior to that another mega hero Allu Arjun star power proved how big a crowd puller he is with ‘Rudramadevi’. His name added attraction though he didn’t do a full length role in the movie.
Of course, Bunny’s ‘Race Gurram’ proved his star stamina and if his next with Boyapati Srinu ‘Sarainodu’, turns out to be a hit, there will not be any stopping for his stardom from increasing many folds. In this case, one can see trouble brewing up for Ram Charan. The time has come for Cherry to prove his ability regarding performance and numbers and announce ‘HE is the brand for MEGA’.
