The makers of young hero Vishwak Sen’s upcoming film, Ori Devuda have dropped the trailer of the film now. As the title suggests, the film revolves around the plight of the protagonist, played by Vishwak.
Vishwak gets married to his love interest, played by Mithila Palkar without too much contemplation and he then finds himself in a tricky situation. His wife is too possessive and his father-in-law, played by Murali Sharma is too nosy.
The trailer has a few surprises as well. We see Puri Jagannadh and Venkatesh in interesting roles. They appear to be playing brief yet important cameos. The background score for the trailer suits the theme and the visuals look good.
Ori Devuda is a remake of Oh My Kadavule and it is directed by Ashwath who had also directed the original. The film is essentially a new-age love drama with a contemporary set-up. It appears to have the element to strike a chord with the young-gen audience.
For films like these to click, the chemistry between the lead pair and the comical situations they find themselves in should be thoroughly entertaining. As it appears, Vishwak and Mithila are indeed sharing good chemistry. The conflict point towards the end will also be the key.
Towards the end of the trailer, Vishwak says “Friend ni wife la choodachu sir, kaani friend eh wife vachindantee(troubled reaction).” This could be a clear indication of the theme of the film.
Ori Devuda is slated for release on the 21st of this month. The film is funded by PVP Productions. The trailer does set the stage positively for the film’s theatrical debut.
