Andhra Pradesh’s dream of making Vishakapatnam an IT hub with world-class ecosystem will take a giant leap if the ongoing efforts with Oracle and Cisco to set up their campuses in the city fructify. The State government officials are in hopeful talks with these companies and if it materializes, it will be a major boost to Brand Vizag, which was hit to some extent after cyclone Hudhud.
We are told that Oracle India is interested to set up a development centre on the beachfront and global networking major Cisco is seeking a site for the opening of its campus. Cisco is also a key partner to develop Vizag as a smart city.
On the other side all the required permissions were granted to Wipro for the expansion of its existing campus with SEZ status near Satyam Centre. Tech Mahindra has acquired 10 acres at Rushikonda to develop its second campus.
