Pawan Kalyan -Vakeel Saab - Dil RajuVakeel Saab producer Dil Raju braved the second wave of Coronavirus and released the film in theatres, as per its scheduled release date, on April 9th.

While Vakeel Saab continues its run in theatres, it may not be possible for the film to get any considerable collections here on, because of the rapidly spreading second wave of Coronavirus. The audiences for the film have already reduced due to the film’s content not being up to the mark, and the collections have taken a hit because of this. In Telangana, because of the night curfew, there’s no scope of running second shows, and there’s an unofficial lockdown in a few areas. In Andhra Pradesh, theatre capacity has been cut down to 50%. All of this will directly impact the film. So there’s no point in letting the film run in the theatres for 50 days, as there would not be any more profit from it.

Many are considering that it would be best for the makers of the film to negotiate and cut out a deal with Amazon Prime, for an early OTT release, which would prove to be beneficial for them. It is now to be seen what call the makers will take.

Vakeel Saab is the remake of the Hindi film Pink. The film also marked a comeback for Pawan to films, after a three-year-long gap. His last release was Agnyathavaasi, in 2018.
