This growing trend is going to bring down Dubai’s one and only standalone cinema houses, ‘Golden Cinema’ (in Bur Dubai) from Sunday and the last film to be screened in this independent cinema house would be Kamal Haasan’s ‘Uttama Villain’.
This independent cinema house in Bur Dubai has been a proud independent theatre for screening Indian cinemas aka Bollywood Hindi movies and also south movies from Kollywood and Mollywood. Our South Superstars like Kamal Haasan and Rajnikanth reigned the land of water taxis and sand dunes.
Golden Cinema, earlier called as Plaza Cinema has many times entertained the poor labourers even, screening movies for free.
