Suresh Babu a well-known name in Telugu cinema world is a hardcore devotee of Sabarimala Ayyappa and this year it is his 32nd pilgrimage to one of the most popular temples of India. In an interview, talking about his holy trip and the issue around, Suresh Babu shared his views about the plea at court to allow women to Sabarimala.
The producer thinks they are only trying to make it more political than that of making it a matter of gender equality. He says those women who are really devoted would abide by the law of temple but won’t blindly fight for something like that. Also, he explained why practically it is uncomfortable for both men and women to take the yatra together remembering how hard the journey is going to be with the huge crowd pulling and pushing each other to get a glance of the deity over the 18 steps.
Well, he says he doesn’t have any problem with any judgment of the court but wouldn’t stop going there just if any woman of the menstrual age enters the temple. He opines just that a woman has been there( if it happens) the god and temple won’t stop being pious but it is easy and good to follow the traditions and the law. Fair enough.
