Though Samantha has been using her own voice for dubbing for her character lately, Chinmayi Sripada was brought back once again to dub for Sam for ‘Oh Baby‘.
While we are lauding Sam for her top-class performance in the movie, equal share of the credit must definitely go to Chinmayi Sripada for her voice.
The singer cum dubbing artist revealed through a social media post that her director Nandini Reddy spent hours with her teaching the dialect till she got it right. Chinamyi’s dubbing for ‘Oh Baby’ is different from her dubbing for Sam in the previous movies.
She nailed the old lady’s slang for the younger version played by Samantha. While Sam did full justice to the role with her ease on-screen, Chinmayi did the best off-screen.
Nandini Reddy gave her the first chance to dub for Sam in both Tamil and Telugu after the ban was lifted on Chinmayi by the dubbing artists association.
