Samantha’s Yashoda released in theaters today. The film was promoted as an action thriller with suspense and drama elements.
Coming to the OTT aspect of the film, its post theatrical OTT streaming rights are with Amazon Prime Video.
In the last few months, Samantha had been a star for Amazon Prime Video as he killer dance moves in Oo Antava in Pushpa and her fine performance in Prime Original, Family Man 2 won the appreciation of the audience.
Now, Sam’s first mainstream Telugu release in a while, Yashoda has also gone with Amazon Prime.
Incidentally, Sam is also doing a web series, which is said to be the Indian adaptation of Citadel for Amazon Prime. This series is set to be shot on a lavish scale and the pre production is underway.
As it appears, Sam is turning out to be the female face of Amazon Prime in Southern India.
As for Yashoda, the film is directed by Hari and Harish. It is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad. Sam is seen as a surrogate mother in the film.
