Nandamuri Balakrishna’s mass action drama Veera Simha Reddy opened in theaters today. The film got off to a flying start at the box office with excellent advance bookings in every major circuit.
Coming to the OTT aspect, the Balakrishna starrer has sealed its official OTT streaming partner now.
The post-theatrical digital streaming rights of Veera Simha Reddy are with Disney+ Hotstar. The same was confirmed as the film hit the big screens today.
Incidentally, Hotstar is also streaming Balakrishna’s previous blockbuster Akhanda which went on a rampage at the box office and also worked wonderfully well on OTT. Akhanda was one of the standout hits for Disney+ Hotstar last year.
Now, the OTT giant appears to have trusted in Balayya again as they’ve acquired Veera Simha Reddy.
Disney+ Hotstar gave a delayed OTT release for Akhanda due to the extended theatrical run. What will be the case with Veera Simha Reddy now? We have to wait and see.
