official-rgvs-kamma-rajyam-lo-kadapa-reddlu-postponedIt is official, the new controversial flick of Ram Gopal Varma, Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu has been postponed. The movie was to release on November 29th, but it will now arrive a week later.

The reason for the postponement is the Censor issue. The makers submitting the movie in the last minute for the certificate did not happen as the Censor Board required one more week. Ram Gopal Varma and the producer then approached the court to fast-track the Censor process.

However, the Telangana High Court, which took up the hearing of the case, decided to go by the Censor Board’s decision to clear the movie in a week. It has asked the makers to get the process done as required. The Censor Board will now go through the film and do the needed to pass the movie to the public. It is likely to involve a lot of cuts.

The new release date is December 6th, if all goes as ordered and the makers comply with it without further ado. The controversial nature of the subject of the film is what made it necessary for the Censor Board to take more time than necessary. RGV is not new to the whole process, but rest assured he will be milking the issue for further publicity.
