It is now official, and all the speculations and buzz come to an end. V will have a digital debut. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video from September 5th.
Natural Star Nani made the announcement regarding the digital arrival. He mentioned that these are extraordinary times and hence this decision. He assured his fans that he would back to entertain them in theatres with Tuck Jagadish when things go back to normal.
V is Nani’s landmark 25th film. Much was expected from the theatrical run of the movie. For the first time in his career, Nani plays a villain in the movie. Sudheer Babu is the main protagonist. Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hyderai are the female leads. The action thriller was to hit theatres for Ugadi earlier in the year.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 threw all the plans of Dil Raju in disarray. And here we are with V opting for a digital release, and streaming from September 5th.
V is the biggest film from Telugu cinema which has taken the digital route. In fact, it is so for entire South India. Others will closely monitor its performance
and price for sure.
There is talk about theatres getting reopened from September. Everyone will also be looking at its occupancies, as well. A final decision on many other medium-range flicks will be made accordingly.
