A top producer from Telugu cinema, Dil Raju is doing his best to impress the Hindi audience as well. He has been trying from some time to remake successful Telugu films (from and outside his banner). He has one already and has now got another.
The successful thriller Hit starring Vishwak Sen is all set to get a Hindi makeover. Yes, the movie is getting remade in Hindi and Dil Raju is going to produce it in association with Kuldeep Rathore.
The lead in the Hindi remake will be National Award-winning actor, Rajkumar Rao. It is a perfect subject and casting as far as the remake is concerned, no doubt. The makers are planning to get the movie on sets in 2021 and have a release in the second half.
Dr Sailesh Kolanu, the director of the original, will helm the remake as well. Natural Star Nani presented Hit in Telugu which was produced by Prashanti Tipirneni.
Hit remake will be the second outing of Dil Raju in Hindi. He is co-producing another Telugu film remake(incidentally a Nani starrer) Jersey. In the past, he had tried to get Shatamanam Bhavati remade in Hindi, but it didn’t work. Meanwhile, it is reported that a top Bollywood producer has grabbed one of his production Dhuvvada Jagannadham for an excellent price.
All in all, there is a visible effort from Dil Raju to get a positive impression and start in Bollywood. Here’s hoping, he makes a successful entry in Hindi films, too.
