A few days back, the promotions of Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Pata started with the interviews of art director AS Prakash. Now, it is the turn of another technician Marthand K Venkatesh, the senior editor.
Speaking in an interview, he reveals that editors are the ones who watch the film first at the editing table and can easily make out whether the film will be a hit or not.
Marthand K Venkatesh reveals one interesting incident about NTR‘s Andhrawala and says that after watching the rushes, he told director Puri Jagan that the film will not work as NTR looked way too young to don the powerful character in the film.
The noted editor says that the team did not pay heed to him and went ahead with the release without any changes. Not only with Andhrawala but Venkatesh says that he also told about the same with Puri’s another film ‘Super’ which had Nag as the lead. Sadly, the film did not work like Andhrawala.
Andhrawala was released when NTR was at the peak of his stardom. The audio was launched in a big way but the film ended as the biggest flop in NTR’s career. The editor says he is very good at predicting the film’s fate even before the release. Let’s see if Sarkaru Vaari Paata will become a hit as he is promoting.
