In Telugu film industry anything that results in a positive outcome on repetition is turned into a sentiment. So will this become new sentiment as far as Koratala Siva is concerned?
We are talking about the music in the director’s films. His first film Mirchi had sensational music, it had a life beyond the run of the film theatrically and is heard even now. The follow-up Srimanthudu although not as popular was still among the public as long as the movie had its run. It was a success but surely a step down from Mirchi. Now the third album from the director, Janatha Garage seems to be another step-down. In short, the music in Koratala Siva films is getting progressively weaker.
The good thing here and what might become a sentiment in future is while the music has become weaker, the movies have become bigger success. Srimanthudu is currently the biggest non-Baahubali hit. If the same sort of progress is made movies wide, it means Janatha Garage could be the biggest of them all. Wouldn’t Jr NTR fans absolutely love this to become a sentiment? So, all you fans out there stop being picky about music and its reception.
