The makers of NTR biopic NTR Kathanayakudu are continuing with the tradition of showing a glimpse of current actors playing the characters of the legends from the past onscreen. The latest one to be revealed is Rakul Preet Singh as Sridevi.
Unfortunately, unlike the previous glimpses here Rakul Preet Singh is drawing criticism for her lack of resemblance in any way with the legendary Sridevi. Her casting could be a clear case of the makers overdoing the “past” bit feel many following the biopic. As if that was not enough, the update that iconic song “Aaku Chatu Pinde Tadise” from Vetagadu is being recreated is making everyone nervous.
Take a look at Rakul Preet’s Sridevi avatar above. Krish directs the biopic which will arrive in two parts. The first part which focuses on the acting career of NTR aptly titled NTR Kathanayakudu will arrive in cinemas on January 9th, 2019.
