Now right time for small films to release: Ayodhya Kumar

While several big-budget Telugu films are struggling to release in Andhra Pradesh amid ongoing political protest, the smaller films are making the best use of this period and releasing as many films as possible. Debutant director Ayodhya Kumar, director of Minugurulu, hopes to cash in on this opportunity.

He says this has actually helped several small films that could have never seen the light of the day if the big films were not postponed. He believes this period is the best time to release as many small Telugu films as possible. It’s a blessing for low-budget Telugu films, he said.

Ayodhya’s debut film Minugurulu, which revolves around 40 blind students, is ready for release. It has already received thumbs up from industry bigwigs such as Sekhar Kammula, Chiranjeevi, Atchi Reddy and Madhura Sreedhar
