Now A Full-Fledged Film On Allu Sirish’s CharacterRemember the film Yuddham starring Allu Sirish? It was Telugu dubbing of Malayalam movie 1971: Beyond Borders. It marked the debut of Allu Sirish in Malayalam.

If you have no clue about the movie, it is about 1971 Indo-Pak war. The Malayalam film was a fictional take of the war inspired by real characters and incidents. Allu Sirish played the role of an army guy Lt. Chinmay which was based on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. The real person was awarded a posthumous Param Veer Chakra.

In the movie, 1971: Beyond Borders, the role of Allu Sirish was an extended supporting part. Now, the character is being turned into a full-fledged film. A biopic on Arun Khetarpal has been announced. Bollywood young star, Varun Dhawan will play the lead. The director of Andhadhun, Sriram Raghavan will helm the project.

Varun Dhawan and Sriram Raghavan have collaborated in the past on the movie Badlapur. It was a moderate success for the genre. The star missed out on Andhadhun which went on to get National Award for its actor, Ayushmann Khurrana, and was also adjudicated Best Hindi Film.
