Noticeable Drops for RRR's Major Threat!RRR‘s advance bookings in the Telugu states and the USA are progressing extremely well. But the film is yet to gain momentum in the Hindi belt, where The Kashmir Files has been the dominating force for the past couple of weeks.

But just as RRR gears up for its worldwide theatrical release this Friday, The Kashmir Files reported a noticeable drop in collections. The film posted a drop in collections on its second Tuesday (yesterday). The film did collect in upwards of Rs 10 crores nett, but this is the first time it reported a 15% drop in collections since its release.

On the other hand, Bollywood biggie, Bachchan Pandey, which released on 18 March is ending up as a dud. The film collected Rs 3.25 crores nett the other day and it is in no position to pose a threat to RRR.

While Kashmir Files’s drop might not be a mighty big one, it has provided enough hope for RRR, which was initially tipped to take a formidable box office blow from the former in the Hindi belt.

RRR is now estimated to get off to a Rs 10+ Cr opening in the Hindi circuit and if the film garners a positive word of mouth, it might well go on a strong run in the Northern belt.

Rajamouli and Co. will now be watching the box office graph of Kashmir Files as it is essential that this film drops further this weekend and doesn’t post Rs 15-20 nett totals if RRR is to have a fruitful weekend at the box office, and that is, of course, possible only if the Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer gets supers positive reviews.
