The new film of Vijay Deverakonda which is going to hit screens tomorrow (October 5th) has taken everyone by surprise. The movie has opened to sensational response in online bookings across the board.
Unlike Geetha Govindam, the last outing of Vijay Deverakonda, NOTA does not have a chartbuster, popular heroine, or all appealing genre. It isn’t even a Holiday release. Keeping all the factors in mind, the trade expected a mild response at the box office. Not entirely bad, for sure, but not at the level that bookings are taking place currently.
If NOTA gets a positive talk from early shows, it might as well set a new opening day record for Vijay Deverakonda in the Telugu states. That is how big the openings are going to be. The current craze of Vijay Deverakonda as a star alone is seen as a reason for the initial response. Unlike some of the big openers of medium scale films, NOTA does not have anything going for it positively in Telugu states except the star at the centre.
A resounding success here would be a massive boost to the stardom of Vijay Deverakonda. All we have to do now is wait and see what the talk of NOTA is going to be. Watch this space for our review.
