Saif Ali Khan
Prabhas’ mythological visual spectacle, Adipurush’s action trailer, was launched at the grand pre-release event of the film held at Sri Venkateswara University Stadium in Tirupati.

It was surprising that no one spoke about Saif Ali Khan during the event who is playing the crucial role of Ravanasura in the film. There is no Ramayana if there is no Ravanasura. Still, the cast and crew of the film, including Prabhas, Om Raut, and Kriti Sanon, chose not to mention Saif Ali Khan anywhere during the event.

The teaser received a lot of criticism, especially about the look of Saif as Ravana. Many thrashed the makers for making Saif look like a Mughal invader and not Ravan. So it is being speculated that the cast and crew intentionally chose not to take the name of Saif Ali Khan and bring any kind of negativity to the film just before its release.

Also, since the event was held in Tirupati, the team of Adipurush might have avoided taking Saif Ali Khan’s name at such a venue and causing any communal controversy.

In the trailer also, the makers have made sure to hide the look of Saif as Ravana. They want the audience to first come into the theaters and then decide about Saif’s look and performance.

Saif Ali Khan is a powerhouse of a performer, and he is a veteran when it comes to roles like these. he has already proven himself that he is among the best when it comes to portraying dark characters like in Omkara and Tanhaji. Let’s hope, if not off-screen, we will witness Saif in his best form, at least on the screen, when Adipurush releases in theaters on June 16.
