Is media and opposition parties blowing the land pooling controversies out of proportion? Yes says the recent MLC elections. TDP candidate had won in Krishna-Guntur districts MLC seats with a thumping majority. The win also comes against a strong two time MLC candidate. The CRDA limits of the upcoming capital will also come under this.
Even though this election is for Teachers Quota. A good number of teachers or their relatives have also given their lands for the land pooling according to a survey which may indicate that people at least majority people are satisfied with the land pooling policy.
On the other side, CRDA is in the process of solving the objection letters given by some farmers. The government is yet to take a decision about the Land Acquisition in the lands which were not given in the land pooling. Sources say land acquisition may be inevitable as leaving out some lands may be a hindrance for such huge project.
