Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu has set a new trend, and it looks like the forthcoming biggies will take that path. It is with regards to numbers reporting at the US box office.
For the first time, one saw no premiere numbers update for Katamarayudu. Instead, a day one number was provided which also included the premiere amount. Now, the same approach is taken for Baahubali 2 as well. There will be no Thursday premiere numbers. The first day numbers will come out that will include all versions, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
Similarly, the premieres too will be held in Katamarayudu fashion wherein the earliest shows in the US will coincide with the midnight benefit shows of Baahubali 2 in the two Telugu states. The other big US releases, Kabali, and Sardaar Gabbar Singh had screenings way earlier, either in the US or the Telugu states. With Baahubali 2 there will be a uniform release worldwide.
