No More Standing up for National Anthem in TheatersIt is about a year that the Supreme Court in a surprising manner passes a rule for the National Anthem to be played in all the theaters over the country before the movie is played. Also, the order asked people to stand up as due respect to the Anthem and the flag presented on the screen. Well, the court might have to reconsider the order now for the Center pitched in.

The central government brought up a pressure on the Supreme Court questioning the purpose of making National Anthem to be played in theaters mandatory and asking the audience to show the patriotism when they go there for some entertainment, asking the court to rethink on the same.

Ministry of Home Affairs notified the court that they would set up a committee to develop regulations and guidelines on playing the National Anthem in six months time. Until then, the regulation would continue the same. Let us see if the Court takes its order back.
