SuriyaThere is absolutely no clarity about when the Telugu film industry will be back on its feet. We already completed the first week of June and there is no sight of shootings starting. The theaters are unlikely to open anytime before August. So, the entire trade is worried.

Things will not be easy even after the theaters open. There is no clarity if the audience would like to come to the theaters before the Vaccine comes. Initial days may be left for small films and dubbing films. But then, there is no clarity if the dubbing films who dare to risk in that situation.

Later when things normalize, the films are unlikely to be allowed a good release date since there is going to be a lot of rush from the medium and big films. In all probability, we may not see dubbing films releasing today except for the dubbing versions of the old Tamil and Malayalam films.

Around 70-80 dubbing films release in both the Telugu States every year. Some Tamil Star heroes are even opting simultaneous release of their films in recent years. Interestingly, the last hit for Telugu trade this year before the Lockdown is Dulquer Salman’s Kanulu Kanulu Dochayante, a dubbing film of Malayalam movie, Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal.
