No-More-Costliest-Film-Claims-in-TollywoodWhenever we see the Press Notes about the films of star heroes, we often find the claims ‘Costliest film in the Actor’s career’. For at least a year, these claims would and should disappear in Tollywood. Going forward, making costliest films is a crime. The Corona Pandemic and the possible Economic Slowdown calls for the austerity measures.

Stars and the directors are expected to cut down their remunerations and the shootings should go on with limited cast and crew. Shoots should be completed in fewer working days and this should bring down the budgets. Even after the Pandemic, the austerity measures should go on for the greater good of the industry.

These are days we are seeing even the films with decent talk making no returns or fewer returns to the trade mainly due to the overspending. This should go if the industry should prosper in the Digital Era. If the conventional production houses fail to do that, Corporates and OTT platforms will enter the race.

Let us see if the stars, filmmakers, and everyone in the industry will be accountable to the industry’s survival as a whole in this Crisis.
