It was said that Mani Ratnam met Chiranjeevi to narrate a story for Ram Charan Tej, but since Chiru didn’t feel the story would suit Cherry, he downrightly turned down Mani Sir. Dejected by the Tollywood heroes’ approach towards him , Mani finally chose Malayalam superstar Mammooty’s son Dulqeer Sultan to play the main lead for his nect venture. And pretty Nitya Menon is chosen to play the female lead. Nitya sees it as a great opportunity to get a chance to work in Mani Ratnam’s movie.
