Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar - Election CommissionerThe tussle between the State Election Commissioner and Andhra Pradesh Government is getting murkier every day. Some miscreants are even posting death threats to Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar once he steps down as SEC. The statements of the Ministers are not pleasant as well.

Probably, all that is playing in his mind, Nimmagadda had a veiled warning for Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He arrived in Kadapa, the native district of the Chief Minister, and reminded that he is one of the witnesses in various CBI cases pertaining to the YSR Regime. He was a Secretary in the finance department back then.

He was already summoned in some of the cases. He also mentioned that he may appear once again if necessary and will not shy away from speaking the truth no matter what. This is a veiled threat to the Ruling Party ecosystem about what he is capable of.

Interestingly, many do not know this angle of Nimmagadda being a witness in the cases. Now, it has become a talking point if that is the reason for the animosity between Jagan and the Retired IAS Officer. It is interesting to note that Nimagadda did not refer to the cases as Jagan’s cases but only said he is the witness to things that happened during YSR’s Regime.
