Hero Nikhil has joined hands with his good friend and director Chandoo Mondeti for the second film in the Karthikeya franchise. This supernatural drama, also starring young Kerala beauty Anupama Parameswaran, is nearing completion.
According to the latest updates, Karthikeya 2’s OTT partner has been locked now. The rights have been sold to Zee 5 for a decent amount. What’s special is that the satellite rights of the film have also been sold to Zee 5.
The entire shoot will be wrapped up soon and the VFX work will then last for two more months as per the latest reports. The makers do not want to compromise on the VFX and that is the reason the film is getting delayed much.
People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts banners are jointly bankrolling Karthikeya 2 which is an interesting concept-oriented movie made on a tight budget.
On the other hand, Nikhil also is not happy with the way his films have been lagging behind and not releasing. Before Covid, he had close to five films in hand but due to the pandemic, some of the films did not even go on floors.
