Nikhil successfully ventured into the pan Indian space with Karthikeya 2. He is now looking to take the prospect forward with his next film, Spy which is being promoted as a pan Indian thriller.
The teaser of the film dropped a little while ago and it implies that the Nikhil starrer is based on one of India best kept secrets – what happened to Netaji Subhash Chandrabose after the plan crash in 1945?
The teaser is loaded with slick action shots and the visual aspect and the technical finesse look like the makers have actually taken the pan India prospect seriously and made it with desired intent. The BGM is also on point.
Karthikeya 2 was a good hit in the Hindi belt and Nikhil is set to explore the vast Hindi market again with the Subash Chandrabose project which has pan Indian appeal. The teaser implies that he has set out on a mission to dig deep and discover the secret topic of what happened to Bose.
While this topic might have a whole lot of intrigue and national appeal, it is also very sensitive in nature. This topic needs to be addressed in a rational and respectful manner as it can’t be factually misleading. If presented well, the film has a great chance of clicking in the pan Indian space, else there is a chance it could face a whole lot of heat.
The film is directed by Garry BH and it is having its pan Indian release on the 29th of June.
