The Censor Board of India has been remade with writer Prasoon Joshi as the new chairman. The CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) now consists of Gautami Tadimalla, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, Jeevitha Rajasekhar and others who was chosen for the post.
The renowned actress who is happy to have this opportunity said that she “look[s] forward to this new and exciting phase where [Indian] cinema will be allowed to reflect the sensibilities, realities and the complexities of the society we are living in today.”
