New-Releases-Subrahmanyapuram,-Kavacham-Bite-Dust-at-US-BOIt has really been a fateful weekend for the new releases that came to the theatres on the Election Day in Telangana when the entire limelight has obviously been hogged by the heat of the election scenario. ‘Kavacham’, ‘Subramanyapuram‘ and ‘Next Enti’, all of them have to bend under the election heat and they literally had to bite the dust at the US box-office.

‘Kavacham’ has grossed $1,649 while ‘Subramanyapuram’ has grossed $18,612 on Saturday. When this is the case of the two releases, the fate of ‘Next Ento’ isn’t any better. However, ‘2.0’ that started really low in the US turf has picked up really well on Saturday the movie has grossed $398,297 and the total gross till date was recorded $4,798,613. That was a good turn out.

The costliest movie is steady with a decent run even after several releases this week and doing well though nowhere near ‘Baahubali 2’. ‘2.0’ is the biggest non-Baahubali South-Indian grosser It’s not the elections that turned the above-said Election Day releases victims rather the failure to deliver the right content with an engaging narration that was the real culprit.
