M9News caught up with Paagal actor Vishwak Sen for an exclusive interview about his upcoming film Ori Devuda, his future projects, his tribute to NTR in Paagal, and other exciting details.

On many occasions, Vishwak Sen confessed that he is a die-hard fan of NTR. We asked him about his uncanny resemblance to NTR in some films, especially in Paagal. His running style and dialogue delivery resembled NTR a lot.

Vishwak Sen admitted that look-wise his getup in Paagal resembled NTR’s look in Oosaravelli because of his chubbiness and hair highlights but other than that he never deliberately tried to copy or give tribute to NTR.

Speaking about Ori Devuda Vishwak Sen said that Falaknuma Das was a turning point as it gave him popularity and now Ori Devuda is going to be another turning point in his career.

Despite being a remake, he said that there is a lot of freshness in the film due to its cast and treatment and it is a much better film than the original. He also thanked Venkatesh for doing such a prominent role in the film.

The makers have retained the director of the original so as to retain the real essence and feel of the film which is another huge plus.

Vishwak said that he always takes extra care about the music of the film which helps him to bring the audience into the theaters and even in the case of Ori Devuda it’s no different.

Speaking about his over-enthusiastic speeches on the stage during pre-release events, Vishwak said that he wants to prepare the audience with a positive feeling about the film. Sometimes it may sound exaggerated but he wants the audience to give his film a chance.

Vishwak Sen accepted that previously he used to feel a bit disappointed for not having the support of bigwigs in the industry who would help in making his films reach a larger set of audience. At one point in time, he got tired of seeking help. But later he just started to believe in himself and trust the content of his films, because in the final tally only those things mattered.

He said that his next film is Dhamki, directed by himself, and the film has completed its shooting. He also said he is soon going to start a film that is going to be directed by Arjun Sarja, the action hero. He said he plans to take Falaknuma Das on a pan-India level.
