Nerella-Venumadhav---Recently-Felicitated-Legendary-Artiste-No-MoreLegendary mimicry artist Nerella Venumadhav who was recently felicitated by the Telangana government on the Telangana State Formation day is no more. He has died of illness at his home in Mattewada in Warangal City.

Nerella Venumadhav is a pioneer in mimicry and ventriloquisms inspiring many to take the profession. It has won him numerous laurels locally, nationally, and internationally. Venumadhav was the first Indian to perform at the United Nations Headquarters. He was awarded Padma Shri from the Indian government in 2001. The Andhra University bestowed him with Kalaprapoorna.

Venumadhav was 85 years old and is survived by a wife and four kids. Many celebrities have expressed condolences. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is one among them. May the legend’s soul rest in peace.
