Finally, Rana has arrived with a bang as a star. His new film Nene Raju Nene Mantri has opened with bumper collections all over. The response is the same be it the US or the two Telugu states. Needless to say, it is the biggest solo opener in his career.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Nene Raju Nene Mantri has emerged as the highest opener by collecting significantly more than its competition Jaya Janaki Nayaka and LIE. Barring two areas, Nene Raju Nene Mantri has been the dominating film in all territories. LIE was a distant third whereas Boyapati Sreenu propelled Jaya Janaki Nayaka’s prospects in two areas.
In the US, it is a one-way street though. Nene Raju Nene Mantri is the unanimous winner. LIE was the second best, but the gap is wide. Jaya Janaki Nayaka has been a disaster. In fact, the leftover movie Fidaa is giving a tough fight to the Boyapati Sreenu directorial. We have to see if in the coming days the Rana starrer will continue to outpace the other releases or now. For now, Rana has well and truly arrived.
