Nayanthara is a name to reckon with in the South whose name and the craze is equivalent to male counterparts. The actress is now all set to make a splash on the digital screen as she is making her grand OTT entry with Bahubali: Before The Beginning for Netflix.
Nayanthara’s role is kept under wraps, but she being part of the prequel will be major attention for the web series. The prequel Bahubali: Before The Beginning will have Wamiqa Gabbi stepping into the shoes of Sivagami. The series will be shot in the format of Game Of Thrones.
The prequel was initially shot were the makers wrapped up nearly 70 percent of the shoot. But unsatisfied with the output, Netflix scrapped it which had an investment of Rs 100 crores. Now, the prequel which will begin from the month of September or October has the giant OTT platform set aside Rs 200 crores.
Overall, the series has already generated good interest and with Nayanthara on board, the hype around the show is doubled. It would be interesting to see what role she reprise. Work-wise, Nayanthara has a handful of projects in Kollywood and she is touted to be part of Chiranjeevi’s Lucifer remake.
