Nayanthara’s latest outing Netrikann skipped theatrical release and premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar today. The film is a remake of Korean thriller, Blind and it released amid very little buzz and anticipation.
Netrikann has opened to rather negative reviews. The film is being lambasted by critics and common audience alike.
Gripping screenplay and a well-rounded story are the two essential traits that one would associate with a good thriller. But Netrikann draws a blank on both counts. The film struggles to hold the interest of the viewers even for 10 minutes at a stretch.
Nayanthara’s OTT outing has turned out to be a disastrous one. Wonder how the makers could mess up a remake so very badly. The film is just another addition to the long list of OTT releases that fails in so many more aspects than one.
