Venkatesh Daggubati’s Narappa censor report is out. The film has been accorded UA certificate by the regional board. Narappa is the remake of the hit Kollywood film, Asuran which starred Dhanush.
Narappa is making news over the past few days for skipping theatrical release and heading for OTT. The film will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video which is said to have bought it for a fancy price. Buzz has it that the film will be premiered on July 24. An official announcement is likely to be made soon.
Srikanth Addala who shot to fame with Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is the director of Narappa. The film stars Priyamani reprising the role of Manju Warrier. The first look poster of Venkatesh Daggubati has generated good buzz and has raised curiosity and seems to be a promising remake.
The film is bankrolled by Suresh Babu. Interestingly, his other films -Drushyam 2 and Virata Parvam too are heading for OTT release. Despite things returning to normalcy, the ace producer opting for OTT has raised eyebrows among trade circuits.
