After a series of back to back flops, a point came when hero Nani has to be very careful regarding his choice of films. Beginning his career with back to back hit films, Nani was considered the minimum guarantee hero for small and medium budget films. But a few wrong choices changed everything for him.
This time he has a very prestigious project ‘Evade Subramanyam’ in hands produced by Swapna and Priyanka Dutt, the daughters of big producer Ashwini Dutt. This film recently wrapped up the Everest schedule. ‘Evade Subramanyam’ is the first ever Indian film to be shot at some of the highest points of Everest.
Reportedly, the film’s unit travelled from Lukla situated at 2,860 kms above the sea level and then their next stop was Gokyo which is 4,750 kms above sea level. And from there to Chola Pass at 5,420 kms. To many places during the shooting, the film’s unit had to do trekking to walk to the places of shooting.
Besides all odds shooting in such low temperatures and extreme cold conditions; other things like bland food, accomodation and transportation had been challenging says the debutante director Ashwin. The breathtaking beauty of the Everest gave him all strength to go against all odds and continue shooting. New age film makers in Tollywood are opening new avenues and ready for challenges. Kudos for the verve and also for setting up an unique record to be the first ever Indian film to achieve such a record!
