Vivek Athreya, the director of ‘Brochevarevarura’ and ‘Mental Madhilo’ has been stranded in Guntur with his mother and of course, like many others have got time to work on the scripts of his upcoming projects, searching for new ideas etc.
Most importantly, he is cooking an out-and-out entertainer for Nani. Both the films of the two-film-old filmmaker were decent at the box-office and both of them had Sri Vishnu playing the main lead.
So, a film with Nani is like the next league for the young director, a step ahead for him, for sure. That implies this movie is going to be important for Vivek Athreya and make him a reliable minimum guarantee director. A lot depends on how he handles Nani and the final output of the movie.
The filmmaker is totally for the OTT platforms as he thinks these platforms give directors an opportunity to do something that they couldn’t do for the big screen. It’s quite probable that the writer cum director may also have some ideas for OTT.
