The voting for Nandhyal by-election is currently underway. Reports are that a whopping 22% voting has happened in the first two hours. Trends indicate that it is going to be a minimum of 80% Voting which will be a record for the constituency.
In 2014 elections, Nandhyal has recorded 76.4% voting. Usually, the voting percentage in the by-election will be less due to various factors but it may not be the case this time as the voter curiosity is at the highest for this election.
Minorities form about 25% of the electorate in Nandhyal. They will be the deciding factor in this election and YSR Congress has pinned all their hopes on them to win this election. TDP hopes that Sympathy and Development factors will work in their favour.
