Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda is the first biggie to release in the industry after the COVID second wave and has taken everyone by surprise. The movie has released with the lowest rates in Andhra Pradesh and with no special shows. The release date is also not that effective since there is no single festival holiday in the first week.
But then at the end of the second-week run, the movie has crossed 60 Crore Share. The biggest surprise has come from Nizam and the United States where Balakrishna is always known to be weak. In Nizam, there was around 180% Recovery for the film.
At the US Box Office, the breakeven number is around 250K and now, it has breached the One Million Dollars mark. Akhanda is only the second one million dollar film in Balakrishna’s career after NTR Kathanayakudu. It is also the first one million dollar film of director Boyapati Srinu who is also weak here.
If the situations in Andhra Pradesh are favorable, the movie may have easily got to the 70 Crore Share mark Nandamuri fans believe.
